Basic components of a seawater air conditioning system include:

• a seawater supply distribution system, including the intake pipe, pumps and return pipe.
• heat exchangers that transfer cold from the seawater in the seawater distribution network to the fresh water distribution network.  The heat exchangers ensure that the seawater and fresh water never mix.
• a closed loop, fresh water distribution network, including pumps.  This network provides chilled water that circulates through each building.
